Change Happens Psychotherapy and Consultancy

Locations: Sydney

Clinical therapist who works with men individually, in same sex couples and in groups. Provides a space where men who are single, in a relationship, who identify as straight, gay and bisexual pan, trans or non-binary can be open to talk through their issues without judgment or embarrassment.

Sydney Gay Counselling

Locations: Byron Bay

Individual and couple counselling, sexual identity support for GBTIQ. Support for gay, bisexual or transgender individuals feeling depressed and anxious because of their personal life, career or relationships, sexual orientation or gender identity. Counselling is available via Zoom online or in person at Byron Bay.

ACON provides services in community health, inclusion and HIV responses for people of diverse sexualities and genders, across Metropolitan Sydney and Regional NSW. Service for men, including free alcohol and other drugs counselling and mental health counselling. To locate ACON services in NSW, use their location map which pinpoints local sexual health clinics (orange pin), LGBTIQ+ community groups (rainbow pin), Aboriginal community health services (Aboriginal flag pin) and the services offered at ACON offices.

Inner City Legal Centre Safe Relationships Project

Locations: Kings Cross

The Safe Relationships Project provides court assistance and other support for people who are gay, lesbian or bisexual; people who are transgender; and people who are intersex and are experiencing or escaping an abusive relationship. It can assist clients in accessing legal representation and to apply for apprehended domestic violence orders (ADVO) or apprehended personal violence orders (APVO) to help put an end to the violence they are experiencing.

Providing training and education for mental health professionals on LGBTIQ+ mental health. Mental health and suicide prevention awareness education for LGBTIQ+ people. Offering events such as webinars as well as a knowledge hub of information.

QLife

QLife is a free, national, anonymous service that offers support and referral to LGBTI people, their friends and families. Online resources for community members and health professionals, include QGuides, QLives and a LGBTIQ+ referral database.

The Gender Centre

Locations: Marrickville

The Gender Centre provides services and activities, to assist people with gender issues to make informed choices as well as services for partners, family members and friends. Accommodation services provide safe places for clients at risk of homelessness or facing abuse or violence.
