‘Grandparents in Distress’ is a national support group for grandparents experiencing separation from their grandchildren.
Parents Beyond Breakup not only supports parents experiencing trauma through family breakdown and separation but also acknowledges the specific issue of grandparent-grandchild contact during custody battles commonly termed ‘parental alienation’ where one side of a child’s family is disadvantaged or removed by the other parent, a factor closely linked to stress, anxiety, depression, isolation and suicide in Australia.
Every child deserves to have a relationship with both sides of their family.
