Babana Aboriginal builds and empowers local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in the inner-city community of Redfern in Sydney. Babana offers primary health, mental health and suicide prevention programs, local men's groups and mentoring.

Complete Men

Locations: Brunswick Heads

The Complete Men Foundation is a not-for-profit charity providing weekly men's groups in South East Queensland and Northern NSW with an online group for men from other regions. The Foundation offers workshops, individual support and programs for men to engage in, as well as related personal growth activities. The groups offer opportunities for men to connect, share, and seek help with emotional, financial, and relationship challenge.

The Northern NSW Support Group is based in Brunswick Heads.

Health in Gear

Health in Gear is a program developed by the OzHelp Foundation that focuses on supporting the health and wellbeing of transport and logistics workers on the job and at home. This includes 24/7 phone support and free counselling for workers and their families, health tips for staying well, roadside health checks, and the Share the Load podcast.

Mentoring Men

Mentoring Men provides free long-term one-to-one life mentoring for men suffering from mental health challenges like loneliness, anxiety and depression. With the early intervention of a mentor, these challenges can be prevented from escalating into full blown mental health crises. A mentor will listen to problems and give support when the going gets tough.

Behind the Seen train emergency services personnel to work together to build resilience, increase support and reduce the stigma of mental health challenges. Fighting Fit: Defence force health and wellbeing

The 'Fighting fit' portal is a resource for all current and ex-serving ADF Members and their families. There are targeted resources for specific personnel and situations, including commanders, reservists, those preparing for deployment, veterans, and health professionals.

National Emergency Support Service from Black Dog Institute

Locations: Randwick

Free mental health support for emergency service workers, volunteers, and their loved ones affected by all natural disasters. This includes Police, Fire Services, State Emergency Services, Ambulance, Marine Rescue, Surf Life Savers, Licensed Wildlife Rescuers and Carers, Helicopter Rescuers, and those retired. A collection of mental health resources, tools, and advice developed from the latest research and clinical expertise. Also available are a mental health online check tool, and access to 12 free counselling sessions as telehealth Australia-wide or face-to-face in Sydney.

Police Post Trauma Service Group

Service provides support and referrals to those who are suffering from PTSI (formerly PTSD), anxiety, depression and addictions. They provide counselling, support groups, education resources, and a helpline (open from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm).
